Awana News

This year we are starting an exciting incentive for our T&T Awana children (grades 3-6)and we need your help! We have set some big goals for each of the clubbers in order to encourage them to finish their books and bring friends. By finishing their book they will have committed to memory (and stored in their heart) over 100 verses in only 7 months! Weare looking for donations of bigger items, gift cards or money to help purchase itemsthat will be used during our incentive auction. The way the program works is that theclubbers will earn points each week for attendance and finishing sections in their books.

They will get extra points for bringing friends and meeting their monthly goal for finishingtheir book. The idea is to have the kids earn LOTS of points to use in the auction. Please prayerfully consider helping us create a GREAT auction for the kids. All items for the first auction will need to be collected by the end of October. If you have any questions, please contact Molly Damotte or Hope McAllister.

ARE YOU SURE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?

You can be if you follow God's instructions on how to have a right relationship with Him.

Here is what to do:

Admit that you have rebelled by not following God's perfect law (Romans 3:23; I John 1:9).

Believe that Jesus is God's only son, and that his death and resurrection is the only possible payment for your rebellion (John 3:16; Romans 3:23-26).

Ask Jesus to take the penalty for your rebellious actions (sins) so that you can be declared right with God (Romans 10:9; John 1:12).

Commit to place God first in your life by studying and obeying God's truth in the Holy Bible
(2Timothy 3:16, 17).

In order to have a right relationship with God, pray through the steps above and then commit yourself to grow in your new Christian life by daily talking to God in prayer and reading the Bible.
