Lead Minister, Richard Shaw (D. Min.), has served FBC since December 26, 1976. He has led the church through three major building programs and also to expand the ministerial staff. His wife, Kathy, is the secretary to the principal of Grundy School. They have two children: Jeremy and Gretchen. Jeremy and his wife Jody live in Peachtree City, GA, and have two daughters and a son. Gretchen and her husband, Dean Vance, live in Morton and have two children: Keegan and Brynleigh..

Carmen Pugh first began serving at First Baptist Church in June of 2001 as our Administrative Assistant. She is a member of Richland Southern Baptist Church in East Peoria. Her husband, Randy, works in the Records Center for CEFCU. They live in East Peoria with their daughter, Ashley.

Jennifer Damotte
Education & Worship Minister

Education and Worship Minister, Jennifer Damotte (MATL), first began serving as Interim Worship Leader in August of 2005. During that winter, while teaching music at a local public intermediate school, she felt the call to full-time ministry. She has served in this position since July of 2006. Her husband, Marc, works as a Group Underwriter for Pekin Insurance. They live in Morton with their two sons: Benjamin and Braden.
